Counselor's Corner
Our school guidance counselors assist teachers, parents and students to develop positive achievement in both academic and social adjustment. The counselors work with parents and students individually, in small groups, and in classroom activities.

Counseling Department Mission Statement

The counselors at Cedar Hill believe:

  • All students have dignity and worth
  • All students ethnic, cultural, racial and special needs are considered in planning and implementing the school counselors' program
  • The Cedar Hill Elementary School's comprehensive school counseling program should:
  • Be based on specific goals and developmental school competencies for all K-5 students
  • Use data to drive program development and evaluation
  • The Cedar Hill Counselors:
  • Abide by the professional school counseling ethics as advocated by the Americann School Counseling Association ethics
  • Keep information confidential unless disclosure is required to prevent danger to self or others
