Accelerated Reader (AR)

Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading/testing program which is used primarily in 2nd-5th grades. The program is overseen by media and instructional technology, but is managed by the classroom teacher. Students select books to read from the Accelerated Reader list, then take a quiz on the computer  to determine their comprehension of the story. AR books are identified in the Media Center with a colored dot on the spine.

We currently have 6,063 AR  quizzes available for our students, including 4,858 fiction titles and 1,205 non-fiction titles. When in school, students may access the AR quiz lists from within the AR program. Additionally, we now have a searchable, interactive AR Quiz List. You may search by title, author, subject, book level, interest level and more!

We added 100 new quizzes on April 12, 2006. If you would like to see the list of NEW quizzes, click on QuizList Interactive, then click on the booklist on the left named "New AR Quizzes - April 2006".
